One of Dawns favorite places in the world to go when you just wanted to have fun. The mall. A Los Angeles mall no less. This one was so much bigger than the one in Sunnydale! It had to have more stores too. Nicer ones perhaps? The young girl couldn't help but smile. God, she missed just wasting a day away at the mall like this. She rarely got to do so anymore. She rarely got to do anything fun anymore actually. Buffy kept her on a tight leash, metaphorically speaking. She never got a break with her around. But that was the great part about being in L.A.. Buffy wasn't here. She wasn't around at all. Dawn was finally free! The thought excited her. She hoped this freedom lasted long. Either way, however long it lasted, she wasn't going to waste it sitting around and doing nothing. So today she had come to the mall. To have fun of course. But she did need to do some shopping anyways. If she was going to be staying with Faith then she needed more than the small tote bag the brought.
Dawn walked down the stretch of mall. Checking out the display windows of shops and the kiosks around. Her mind debating over which store to hit first.

Connor on the other hand had a long night. Nothing was different so he decided to mix it up a bit, a trip to the mall was a change, nothing that he would do everyday that was for sure. I mean first off Connor hated shopping, he didn't have shopping malls in his hell dimension, he didn't have the tons of people, the crowds gathering around him. Angel was always checking in on him which made it rather annoying to do anything without his dad, that was if he wasn't stalking him like he would often do. Making his way up the stretch of the mall he passed by many stores, mostly clothes stores or food stands and what not. Connor maneuvered through crowds, spotted a few girls. One girl sort of stood out, she was rather tall but that wasn't on his mind. She was rather pretty and had the face like an Angel. Connor smirked at the thought of talking to her, but at first he was a little hesitant. He didn't want to just walk up and scare the poor girl. He had that father like trait where he just rambled a lot and hardly let anytime for a girl to speak. He walked up beside her looking at what she was looking at, the clothes that were in the store. He took a breath, placing both of his hands in his pocket. [/color][/b][/ul] He wasn't that great at introductions, he was shy no doubt but something told him that she was even more shy. He turned his head, examining her as she stood next to him. |

Hearing a mans voice Dawn stopped and turned to face the speaker. She blinked surprised by his words. It made her blush though. O-kay, that was kind of blunt. He is cute though. Er, cute was an understatement. Hot was a better word. Yeah, definetly. This was definetly a change. Hot guys never just came up to her. Nah, Buffy was the one everyone wanted. The R.J. inncident came to mind. Sure it was magical influence but while she was trying her hardest to impress him all Buffy had to do was seduce and try to have sex with him and he was hers. Hmph... or did all teenage boys work like that? Uh, bad thoughts.
She ducked her head slightly, tucking a strand of dark hair behind her ear. She looked at, Connor? That's what he said his name was. It sounded familiar. Could he be that Connor that Will had told them about? The one that was Angels son? She wondered if he was. There was a chance. But it was kind of low. L.A. was full of people so many others could have that name. And it be odd to ask 'hey are you the son of two vampires?' She would sound crazy and Dawn didn't want to sound crazy infront of a hot boy. "Hi. I'm Dawn." She smiled softly, trying her best not to blush. "This might sound weird but is a man named Angel your father by any chance?" She regretted it once she said it. Dawn wasn't the best conversationalist. When she talked she tended to ramble or say something goofy.

Connor didn't know what to think at first. When she had asked him if Angel was his father, it sort of caught him off guard. Did everyone know who Angel was? Connor took in what she said, apparently her name was Dawn. Dawn? Where had he heard that name before? It did sound familiar like he should know it, oh yeah! Dawn, Buffy's little sister. Connor thought about it, there were more than likely other "Dawns" in Los Angeles but since she asked if he was Angel's son, she had to be Dawn Summers. Connor took a breath and looked at her for a moment. She was trying not to blush, he could tell just because the way her body language was. Connor turned his eyes towards the store and then back at her and replied. [/color][/b][/ul] Connor didn't know what else to say, if she was the Dawn that he was thinking of it would be loads of fun to make both Angel and Buffy go crazy if they started to hang out together. He could tell that there was some chemistry between them. I mean hey if Angel and Buffy can do it, why not them? He put his hands in his pockets and looked down at the floor. |

"Yeah. Buffy's my sister, unfortunatly. She's not the easiest to get along with." Dawn said with a subtle roll of her eyes. "She and Angel used to date. It didn't really end well." What with Angel turning evil, killing a friend, torturing Giles then Buffy having to run him through with a sword thus sending him into a hell dimension was definetly not what she would call a happy ending.
She looked at him listening. "Angel likes girls with power?" She asked curiously. She didn't know much of what happened to Angel when he left Sunnydale for L.A., and she didn't know much of his past really, she had only been like, eleven at the time so Buffy kept her out of the loop. She guessed that it could be true though. Darla had power. And Buffy did too. And she heard that something had been going on with Angel and Cordy. She still remembered Cordy as the bitch of Sunnydale but Will had said she changed alot, that she was even part demon now or something. "Buffys the same. She likes guys with power. She's even fallen for two vampires already. And one human but he had power too." Riley was a member of the initiative at the time so that was power, wasn't it? That relationship had mostly occured when Buffy was in college so she didn't know a ton about it, she knew it started to end though once Buffy came home from college.
"So... you're Angel's son?" Now that she knew she saw the resemblance now. He had that kind of dark look that Angel had. It was a good kind of dark look though! It was hot. She smiled a little. "It's nice to meet you. Will told me about you. Uh, you met her right? She visited the hotel awhile back. She helped put Angels soul back?"
