This was not fun. Not of the fun variety whatsoever. And yet had been having fun, this night. It wasn't long after his talk with Faith, when he'd been avoiding being anywhere near the not-so-new Blonde Slayer in town. He left her, gone for a drink. And played poker, there had been quite a bit of poker he was sure of that. Which...was good, because Spike totally ruled at poker. At cheating at poket anyway, and he didn't feel any guilt at all. Because he'd been playing with demons, so meh.
And yet, he still wasn't sure how playing poker...then leaving the bar he'd been playing poker in...could make him end up here. Wherever here was. Finding out the location of 'here' would mean opening his eyes most likely, and judging by the pounding in his temples, that wasn't going to happen any time soon. In fact his whole body was aching, which made him think, for a terrified moment, that he was back there after a trip to the labs, and opening his eyes would just make him see white. Either that or...magic, perhaps? Spike hadn't felt this weak since...well, since the Initiative. It wasn't a welcome feeling, and his mind was quite happily telling him to just close off and go back to sleep.
Well, wasn't meant to happen any time soon. Spike was never one to listen to anyone, let alone himself. Slowly he cranked open one eye. And groaned, both at the stab of agony, and at the familiar face and the familiar smug grin looking down at him.
"Bollucks."
That only maid the jumped up Lindsey McDonal laugh. Absently, Spike tried to locate the rest of his body. Legs appeared to be there, where he was cumpled in a heap, hands...appeared to be behind him. And judging by his failed attempts at bringing them in front of him, they were tied. Duster...was gone. Oh bloody hell!
"You wanker stole my coat!"
"That's it?" the cowboy said in return, smirking, "That's all you're gonna say, I stole your coat?"
Spike snarled, and the...van, he suddenly realised, he was in a van, bumped to a halt, sending him back to a crumpled heap on the floor.
"Don't worry Spikey," Lindsey said with a chuckle, reaching down the pick up the vampire easily (too easily) by the scruff of his shirt, and then hauling him out of the back of the van. From what Spike could see, in the few moments he could look around before he tried to fight bck and felt a wave of magic-induced nausea wash heavily over him, they were one of the old entrances to the Sewer System - the underground warehouses he'd cleared out not long ago. Well him and the others. Blue enjoyed the entertainment. "You'll get it back if you're a good boy. Only brought you along because I couldn't resist showing you. You're going to love this."
The blonde did wrestle against the other man though, even as he was led below ground. Catch the Slayer of Slayer's going anywhere without a fight.

They'd tried to trick her, to make Drusilla think that they were bringing her there so that she would have Spike again, taking his soul away so that they could be together. But she knew that they were lying, she always knew when people were lying, she could see through them like they were cellophane. But she hadn't known that it was going to happen until she was there and then it had been to late, they didn't lock her up but they sent her down into some room, she didn't like it, it felt cold. She was a vampire so she technically couldn't feel the cold unless it was extreme, so it had to be something bad.
"You are a very bad girl and when red riding hood reached her grandmama she'll tell all about you."
"Just walk crazy, nobody wants a riddle. I want a gin and tonic."
They walked down, surrounded by armed guards that didn't bother her, she skipped along, eager to see what was going to happen, she didn't know if it was going to be good news, she doubted it but she still wanted to find out, she was curious. She was always curious about everything there was so much more to know. When they reached the man she saw a hooded figure, she skipped forward to see who it was but hands held her arms, she struggled against them, wanting to see, pouting.
"Stop struggling, god I could kill you right now. Speaking of killing people. Lindsey."
She stepped next to Drusilla as they put her into a chair, looking over at Lindsey, Spike and the guards walking in.
"Look who it is, Drusilla."
The brunette felt uneasy about him being there, the last time they had met it hadn't ended as she would have liked, she was pleased to see him anyway, smiling a little as he came into view but staying quiet, trying to work out what was happening/

Growling and hissing and swearing didn't seem to be getting him anywhere. Not that Spike was going to stop of course, because like hell was he just going to walk in with these..."...nancy pancy, rubbish, stupid, idiotic, bloody poufters!" he spat at the side of the cowboy's face.
Lindsey just laughed. "Come along, Spikey. Play nice, or you...well, really won't like it."
With a hand gripped around his arm, the vampire was steered out of one of the tunnels, into a larger chamber. It quite probably was magic, really...unless something had jabbed him when he was down - with all the struggles, he was still finding it hard to just put one foot in front of another.
A new voice, female, made him look up, another curse being formed on his lips before it died. His blue eyes widened in surprise, then shock, then slowly dawning horror.
"Dru?!" he gasped, and only staggered because of that. Not because of whatever it was that was making him stagger in the first place, because he didn't really want to think about that. God, he hated magic.
"Surprise!" Lindsey announced extravagently, and Spike just know that the cowboy had a gleefully smug smirk on his irritatingly boyishly hadnsome face. The hand around his upper arm squeezed as the human leant down to whisper in the souled vampire's ear. "Isn't this a nice little reunion. And wasn't it nice of me to invite you? Don't forget to thank me later. Are we ready, Lilah?"
The last question was snapped out, the cowboy turning his head as he said it to glare at the other woman, the one who had first spoken. Spike didn't notice. He couldn't take his eyes off the other vampire in the room.

"William. The stars told me that a new dawn was coming, are you my sun?"
Drusilla tipped her head to the side in confusion, seemingly unbothered by the men hoisting her out of the chair and over to the center of a pentagon on the floor. Without her struggling, Drusilla was easy to move around, very light. She didn't know what was going to happen, it was as if she couldn't see anything beyond the moment properly, bits were coming to her but she couldn't make anything of it. It was as if they were parts of a jigsaw and she was still trying to work out the picture that she was supposed to be making.
"Of course, we're not all incompetent."
The hooded figure stood at the point of the pentagram and began chanting in an unrecognizable language, Lilah walked around to stand next to Lindsey as she watched, Drusilla frowned, not understanding what was happening, she suddenly felt rather trapped.

Spike had a really, really bad feeling about this. Really bad. Mind tingily bad...Or was that the magic? Or the drug? Or maybe the fact that he had been bloody dragged underground after being whalloped over the head and shoved in a van. And his hands were tied. How...irritatingly bloody stupid. He growled, yanking away from Lindsey. Or trying to, anyway - the human appeared to have grown stronger.
Or he had grown weaker. But he didn't want to think that.
But whatever was going on, it couldn't be good. This just stank of badness...and that shape on the floor was magic. Magic being used on Drusilla...but Lindsey, who was a prick, and some bitch he didn't know and never really wanted to get to know. Maybe kill. No, damn, stupid soul wouldn't let him think of that either. Or of killing Lindsey, though he didn't know why that was true.
"Dru," he said, stopping his struggles to look directly at the vampiress, forcing his voice to keep calm, "Dru, luv, just step to the side. Get out of there, alright? Just get out of there!" He didn't know what was going on, but the chanting and the pentagon and the hand on his arm and the sudden feeling of magic just had him scream that last little bit. And start struggling again.
Even after everything the crazy bint had done...Spike couldn't, wouldn't let them hurt her. He was struggling to get free. And Lindsey...
The bastard was laughing.
"I said be still, Spikey. Don't think it'll be so bad. Don't you want her to know what it's like? Don't you want your princess to be on the good side?"

Drusilla's eyes widened at Lindsey's words, she realised what was happening, she tried to move but couldn't move at all, her body was frozen, all of her limbs locked and she looked up from the man to Lindsey, growling.
"Bad man, little boy will get a spanking from daddy and then cry home to the empty barn."
Looking away from Lindsey she saw Spike, his face confirmed what she had feared and she began to panic, she didn't want a soul, a filthy soul like Angel had gotten, it had made him leave them. Made him leave Darla, if she had a soul then who would be left for her? She didn't want her to be alone. But had what the small man said been right? Did Spike really want her to be good? She didn't want to be good, nobody wanted her good. God didn't want her anymore either, so she couldn't be good.
"William!"

William. No one but Dru, or Angel when he was trying to tell him off, had ever called him William. Well, and Darla, but yeah. Only family. But the way Dru cried it out, his name, had him roaring and struggling harder to get free.
"No!" he roared, twisting to try to get away from Lindsey, got to her. "Stop it! She can't cope, don't!" Not a soul, not for her. Oh, it would make her good, yes, and not kill, something that Spike couldn't help but hate her for. But her mind wasn't right, the guilt and pain he soul brought...
No. It would be too much. He couldn't break free. He was a fucking vampire, and he couldn't break free! Couldn't help her, couldn't stop this, and he could see the light building, feel the magic growing. Eyes wide, he twisted his head to look at Lindsey, panting slightly.
"Pleae. Let her go, please. Don't, she'll leave, just don't." He flicked his eyes between the man and the woman, hating himself for begging, but hating this whole thing more. "You really, really don't want to do this, please! I'll do anything, just stop it. Now!"

The lawyer laughed and patted the vampire's head patronizingly, amused by the ability to reduce him to begging, she turned to Lindsey and pretended to think.
"Oh I suppose, being such good people, we really should."
She laughed and then crossed her arms, turning back to watch Drusilla, wondering why it was all taking so long.
Drusilla's frown left as fear covered her face, she couldn't move, couldn't do anything and there was William, her William just a few steps away and she couldn't reach out for him. She wanted to run away, with or without him. She didn't want a soul, she didn't need one, she liked being as she was, she didn't want to feel guilt or any of the other emotions, she didn't want to. She was sure it would creep up on her, that slowly but surely she'd start to feel bad for all the the thousands of deaths she had caused, but it didn't happen like that. She felt it all. At once. What seemed like a million screams, cries, faces and blood. Ooh so much blood everywhere, surrounding her, covering her, making her feel sick to her stomach. And then she fell, down onto her knees and looking around wildly, every face taunting inside her head.

"Hmm, do you really think so?" Lindsey replied absently, smirking over at the other lawyer, "Speaking for yourself there, though. Me, I'm perfectly content to be bad, just to make these morons suffer. More fun that way."
Spike ignored the otehr man's words, and the subsequent laughter which followed. His eyes were fixed on the other vampire. As she fell, he roared again, ripping away from Lindsey and throwing himself towards her. No no no no no! Bloody hell no!
His hands were stil bound, and the movement made him groggy, but he ignored it. Had to help her, had to...Oh bloody hell.
He collapsed to his knees beside her, whimpering slightly. "Dru?" he couldn't touch her, couldn't reach out to hold her. No, god no...

Dru felt him beside her but couldn't focus on him, her head was spinning with faces she hadn't seen in over a century, all killed, murdered, tortured. Her family, friends, strangers, innocent children, adults and babies. People who didn't deserve pain and fear to be brought upon them by her. She ran her hands through her hair, fisting it in bunchfulls and howling out in the pain in her chest, it was as if someone was stabbing her over and over again and she couldn't stop it.
"Little bo peep has lost her sheep! All of them ran away with the bad man!"

"You bastards!" Spike cried, ripping the bonds holding his wrists together with enough effort to make him sway allarmingly. He reached out, as if to touch her, but couldn't...didn't. Tha pain, he could remember that pain. In that cave...Dru was in a cave...No! So he had turned as was shouting at those smug face lawyers instead. "Change it! Take it back, now! Please, you can't...Why?"
Why the hell would they do it? "Do you get your jollies from seeing someone go mad, is that it? Thought you were evil enough. Reverse it!" Souless Drusilla...made his own soul burn, but he could deal with it, because it was Dru. Dru with a soul though, and the madness it brought...He shuddered, then finally reached out to tentatively stroke her hair.
"Dru? Dru, stop that love. Sheep have gone, you don't need to worry about them. Don't focus on them. on me, ok?" If he tried really, really hard, he could imagine his own soul was gone, they weren't here, they were back when it was just him and her, and she'd had one of her fits. He could do this. He could. He pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her, not caring suddenly whether she'd fight back. Just...no...
"So, do you think we're done here then?" Lindsey stage whispered to Lilah, smirking at the sight before him, with his hands slipping into the front pockets of his suit trousers. His eyes were gleaming though, enraptured by the entertainment that had just been provided.

Lilah watched the vampire in amusement, her eyes glinting with unnatural glee, any normal person would be horrified by what they had just seen, would have tried to help the apparently defenceless woman who was going through hell, but Lilah knew that she was about as defenceless as she was. She smirked back at Lindsey, looking at the vampires again briefly before turning back to her ex-partner.
"I think so, guards, get them out."
She raised her voice for the last bit as the guards crowded them.
Drusilla felt as if her head might explode, she put her hands on either side of it, her eyes squeezed tightly, she felt helpless. Utterly hopeless and she had no idea what she was going to do. She couldn't plan ahead, she would barely understand what was happening at the moment, she could just hear noise around her, feel movements, but she couldn't decipher what they were saying, the screams were filling her head and she was just trying to stay together. Words started being murmured out of her lips, too quick and quiet for anyone to understand, her thoughts were going faster than her lips could. She felt Spike's body against hers, she wanted to bury herself against him greedily, to hide away from the bad things with him as she had done do many times before. But the guilt inside her was pooling in her stomach, so she feebly struggled and then gave up, she fooled herself into thinking that she couldn't leave. Then the guards surrounded them both.
