- Likes-
Punk Music - Spike latched onto the Punk era and hasn't really let it go.
Weetabix - especially crumbled up in blood. Lovely.
Company - He's a social creature
The Telly - Passions, anyone?
Violence - Spike's a fighter, and he does enjoy being such.
Shakespear - Can't beat a good playwrite. - Dislikes-
Being Helpless - he's had too much of that for one lifetime
Dracula - Poufter owes him money
Vampire Lore - it's boring as hell
Magic - it freaks him out...scares him quite a bit.
Being Controlled - He hates it. - Strengths-
Vampire Abilities - super strengh, speed, agility
Champion Fighter - He's fought three slayers, killed two of them, and then fought alongside the third. He also beat Angel to a cup, and survived the unleashing of Hell in LA, all after beating down a vengeful spirit when he was a ghost. Yeah, Spike's good in combat.
Witty - Spike has a comeback for everything. Honest. Try him.
Caring - He's a vampire that can care, that has always been able to care even before his soul. Which makes him likeable and easy to talk to.
Skills of Insight and Analysis - Don't try to lie to him, if he knows you he'll be able to tell. Especially about feelings or relationships...any which aren't his own.
Status of Pet - To Illyria, he's a Pet. Which isn't so good, but does also mean he has a Demon God on his side if everything goes wrong. - Weaknesses-
Vamprie Weaknesses - Christian holy items, sunlight, no reflection, the usual
Love's Bitch - can't say it clearer than that. His feelings are often used against him.
Stubborn - he can't be taught new things. Well, he can, but he'll sure as hell make it difficult.
Impatient - He gets bored very, very easily.
Irritating - He can be blunt, and harsh, which does make other's not like him so much. He enjoys being it though.
"Yes you are. Look, it's Summers blood. It's just like mine."

- Full History-
pike (or rather, William) was born in Victorian London. He was brought up in a well off family, and had the life of any other son of a rich woman. He was meek, and shy though, and rather insecure, and used to bury himself in his poetry. He gained the name William The Bloody from this time, despite so many beliefs that his name come from his later, more violent vampire years. He was in love with an aristocratic woman, called Cecily, who openly mocked his attempts at courting her, and laughed about him behind his back, and one other man called him that, because of his Bloody Awful Poetry. After being rejected by his love one particularily cruel time, William wandered the streets despondently and bumped into Drusilla, who was instantly fascinated by the blue eyed crying boy. She turned him there and then.
His life as a human didn’t really end there though. Unlike other newly risen vampires, after feeding for the first time, his thought wasn’t about killing his family. In fact, he turned his mother to save her, as she was suffering from a terminal disease. He rejected life as a vampire at first, preferring to join her. But Anne had changed during the turning. She, as a vampire, taunted William and insinuated he had always had a sexual fascination with her. William chose to stake her because he found he could not bear to see his mother behaving like the soulless vampire he had made of her. It was only after that, that he dedicated himself to the vampire lifestyle, and to Drusilla, who was thrilled by the return of her ‘blue eyed dolly’. He abandond his upper class accent, and well manoured behaviour, and became reckless, impulsive, and generally loving life like any other fledgling.
Despite being sired by Drusilla, it was Angelus who trained him, becoming a mentor to the younger vampire, and taught him to be a monster. He adopted the name Spike after killing the people who had mocked his poetry, years later, the way one of them had suggested. By sticking railway spikes through their heads.
Spike killed his first Slayer in China, in 1900, when, in vampire terms, he was only 20, and still technically considered a child. Not only did this make him stand out, but after Angelus was cursed with his soul, and after Darla abandoned them, Spike remained by Drusilla’s side, taking care of her (as she needed doing during her more insane moments). And with her, he kept being evil, enjoying the rush of violence and fighting, and doing anything he could to make her happy. She became his un-life, and he loved her with everything he had. In 1943 he was captured by Nazi’s, and imprisoned aboard a submarine for transportation to an experiment facility. He led the break amount of the imprisoned vampires, taking over the ship and killing the captain along with two other, much older vampires. He briefly met Angel then, only mistook him for Angelus. If he hadn’t met him there, he probably would have made that mistake quite a bit later, when Xander Harris’ life was being offered to him in Sunnydale. In 1977, he fought and killed his second slayer, Nikki Wood, in New York, who was much more of a challenge than his first. After killing and draining her, he took her coat – the black leather duster he’s grown famous for.
He first arrived in Sunnydale in order to cure Drusilla (who had fallen ill in Prague, after they were both attacked by an angry mob) using the Hellmouth. He remains though, to kill the Slayer (and hopefully Angel whilst doing it), and became a menace for all of the Scooby gang for quite a while. He forgets about that, however, because after Drusilla was cured using Angel’s blood, Spike himself was injured, and trapped in a wheelchair, and then they were joined by a newly de-souled Angelus, who wanted to send the world to hell. Killing the Slayer was put into perspective. He even joined forces with the Slayer for a short while in order to get himself and Drusilla safe passage out of there.
He returned to Sunnydale in a drunken depression after Drusilla leaves him for a Chaos demon. He kidnapped Willow and Xander (the latter accidently), and forces Willow to conduct a love spell for him to make Drusilla love him again, even coercing Buffy and Angel to help him in exchange for the safe return of their friends. The excitement of a brawl with the Mayor's vampires helps him see that Drusilla left him because he had begun to go soft; he resolves to win her back by torturing her until she likes him again, although, because he was drunk, he may have forgotten that he didn’t like torturing. That didn't work out though, and once more he returned to Sunnydale, this time to kill the Slayer for real. But he didn't get far. Not long after entering the town he was tasered from behind, and snatched by the commando groups running around at the time. They took him to the Initiative.
How long he spent there even he doesn't know - the lights were always on and sleep was impossible, and he only got fed when he was about to be dust, and he never talks about his time there. Even with the soul, he still sometimes has nightmares about it though. He did manage to break out though, but only after doing so discovered that he could no longer hunt or harm humans at all. Starving, he was forced to turn to the Slayer for help.
He didn't mean to fall in love with Buffy, but he never means to fall in love and really can't help it. But he fell hard and fast, and when she died during the fight with Glory he was devastated. But it was because of this love for Buffy that he took his duty in looking after Dawn. He almost got what he wanted when Buffy was brought back though, but their relationship wasn't what he wanted, as he soon learnt. And yet when she told him she'd been playing him and he was nothing, he retaliated by trying to rape her. Managing to stop, he was horrified, and fled Sunnydale for Africa, to face the trials and prove his worth. He wanted to become a man again, someone worth Buffy's love and forgiveness. Instead he was given a soul.
Coming back to Sunnydale was something that the First orchestrated in his insane state - controlling his addled mind. He was under it's control for quite a while, insane in the basement and then afterwards, living with Harris. He was killing without knowing it, and when he did find out, not long after he was taken by the First for real. His blood was used to open the seal, and then he was tortured by the First Evil until Buffy rescued him. After that, he seemed to become a bit saner, or at least burried it to focus on helping them save the world. In the end, he did save the world - by wearing an amulet Angel brought to Sunnydale and burning to close the Hellmouth. He died with a smile on his face, wanting to see the end. A hero.
But the dead never do stay dead, and for Spike? That seems to be more than true.
Brought back due to the intervention of Lindsey McDonald, Spike was stuck as a ghost for a while, haunting Angel's new occupation of running Wolfram and Hart. It didn't take long for him to make friends with the rest of Angel's team, even with his hatred for the older vampire, especially Fred, who he begged to help him when he found himself being dragged into Hell. He saved her life and stuck himself as a ghost after his little torture session at the hands of Pavayne - giving up corportality for her. But then he was brought back anyway, only to fight (and beat) Angel to a trick Cup. Later, when he'd returned to the streets to do Angel's old job, and being manipulated by Lindsey, he learnt that Lindsey had intervened again to give him his body back. And he could have left them - for Buffy...but didn't. He chose to stay with Angel.
Once Fred's body was invaded by Ilyria, Spike was one of the only one's not to outwardly show grief and avoid the god king - he trained with her instead, because in his own words 'She wasn't Fred'. He found himself liking the demon as well, oddly, and it was in one of their 'training' sessions (involving Spike getting hit, then trying to write it down before getting hit again) that it was first voiced for Spike to become a pet.
Spike officially moved on from Buffy after his and Angel's failed visit to Rome - as he said he would. And actually started feeling warmer towards his Grand Sire as well. When Angel revealed his plan to fight the Circle of the Black Thorn, Spike was the first to volunteer. And fight he did, alongside Gunn, Illyria and Angel, and once more, showed his capabilities as a surviour and fighter by coming out of the other end.
"They can never know. Never."
- Best Friends- Angel, Gunn, Illyria (Fred), Dawn, Xander
- Mentor- Angelus (years and years ago...more Angel now, though he is a moron)
- Boss- Illyria (after the 'Illyria's pet' thing), technically Angel (Angel Investigations)
"In 243 years I've loved exactly one person."
(Love Life)
- Love of Existence- Drusilla. She gave him a new life, saw him when no one else did, gifted him with immortality, and he cared for her, protected her, looked after her, loved her, and cried for her in their hundred years together. That can't really be replaced.
- Current Lover- None at the moment
- Former Lovers- Drusilla (past), Buffy (loved the idea of loving her), Harmony (not really a fling - they did live together), Angelus (That one time..)
"What can I say? I'm the world's best actor!"

Maybe he could drink himself back to death? Ok, so, he was already dead (now twice over), and the alcohol could have been water for all the taste and zingyness it had buried in it’s contents, but Spike still thought it was worth a damn good try. Take that word he’d just said…zingyness. Now, that’s what happened when you died saving the world alongside the likes of Xander Harris and little Andrew Wells. And probably Willow, maybe, because all of them had the goofy nature of making up their own words. Perhaps that had been one of the only traits that had passed from them to him.
Damn them for it. Now he had made up words running around his head instead of the pleasant muzziness that even a vampire should feel after consuming as much liquor as he had so far tonight.
He jumped slightly, head snapping up – tearing his blue eyes away from the contemplation of the bottle with quite a bit of resistance. Yes, so he was jumpy now. He had been, really, since he’d crawled back to Sunnydale from the depths of Africa. Jumpy was an…alive feeling. One he’d never really felt before, but one which made his body tense at any unannounced word. A girl was stood there, a little chick of a girl. The chick of a human smelling girl singing here? Huh. Some people had guts. And yet...
This seat taken?
”No,” he said simply in response to the question about the seat, "Do what you want. Free country.” He did scowl though, next – You look like you could do with the company. "Looks can be deceiving . I’ll let you know, miss, that’s I’m practising brooding. Apparantly it’s a well played sport in my family.”
He was lying though, and had no problems with talking to strangers. It was better talking to no one, because not only did he look even more crazy but he started to feel crazy as well. Which just…wasn’t good.
