Los Angeles Memorial Hospital 2 Years Later Los Angeles Memorial home to Cordelia Chase for the last two years of her life in a never ending sleep the hospital was quite busy tonight doctors scrambling from room to room. Trying to see as many patients as they could, but on the third floor in the coma center room 303 was Cordelia Chase. A doctor headed up to the coma room to check on his patients, and Cordy was a special case it seemed a man named Angel kept calling everyday about her condition. The doctors all said the same thing to the man she was not going to wake up even after being in a private hospital it was just a matter of time before they haft to pull the tube. Her doctor walked over to the bed checking Cordy's chart and her monitor for any type of movement, but sadly there was nothing they were sure she be brain dead, or not able to walk fully if she did wake up.
Three years In a coma was damaging to a body and the doctors were surprised she was doing well all those years writing on his chart before putting it by her bed. The room was nice a single room with not a hospital bed, but a regular single bed. The window had a beautiful view of the city this is what Angel and everyone requested even paying so much to make sure Cordy got the suite part of the hospital. Her doctor was one not to give up even after three years as he shut the door leaving her to rest in peace wondering if that man Angel was coming. He usually came at this time, but anyways had a guest book out, so he could sign in and out of the hospital it was nice the doctor could see Angel did care he practically saw her everyday.
Cordelia looked like she was sleeping peacefully as one of the doctors pulled the tube since she was fine with the breathing part as he left. Her body looked peaceful as her chocolate brown eyes stayed close. Where was Cordy? Why wasn't she coming home to Angel? Was he going to come and talk to her about everything going on. Cordy might not be able to respond but at least she can hear, and it would stay in her memory so no her brain wasn't dead. Her room looked like a original small dorm room a desk, bed, lamp, table and couch for the family, but the big question was is Cordy ever going to wake up or will Angel haft to finally let her go and rest in peace or maybe there was hope for Cordy long as she knew someone there.

Angel was late visitng the hospital tonight, he'd gotten caught up, brawling with a demon down on the Los Angeles broadwalk. He was still wiping the blood off of his face as he lurked outside Cordelia's room. The vampire couldn't see his reflection in the glass window, so it was no use looking to see if he'd missed any red spots on his face. Angel licked his thumb and wiped his lip, before putting a hand on the door knob, turning it and entering the room.
He shut the door behind him and walked over to Cordelia's beside. He looked down at the comatised girl before sitting in the seat next to the bed. The vampire rubbed the palms of his hands together not really knowing what to say this time. Leaving her here on these tubes wasn't what he wanted. His brow furrowed as he considered pulling the tubes himself and finally letting her rest in peace.
"Hi, Cordy. It's me. Sorry I'm late, got into trouble...Gunn, he bailed me out though. He would have been here tonight but...they said you aren't getting any better, I don't believe that. Any minute know you'll open your eyes and it'll just seem liked a dream. Go on...open 'em"

Another doctor came into Cordy's room looking to Angel with a small smile he had grown fond of this man he seemed like a different guy then most of the men. "She been getting the best of care Angel, but as long as you have hope, but I can't promise Cordelia going to wake up even if she did we do not know if she be brain dead." The doctor looked to Angel now it was time to take all the tubes out maybe that was a good thing if they thought she still had a fighting chance. Taking each tube out the monitor didn't beep so that was a good thing as the rest of the tubes went out of her. They did take care of Cordy good after all her stays in the hospital, as the doctor took his hand placing it in Cordelia's hand. He smiled to the man hoping to give him some good news then bad, "Watch for her to squeeze your hand even though they can't see you she can hear you." As the doctor left them alone.
The After Life : Astral Plane
Unaware where she was Cordy walked around somewhere on the astral plane looking down she could see Angel with her god it killed her for what he was saying, but she did smile it was nice to know what was going. Where she was there is no ground or air and sky it was just a ocean blue room with clouds all down below her feet. Cordy had been trying to get home to her friends and family, and she wasn't going to give up even if the gods wanted her to stay. "Hang in there Champ" She said softly wishing there was some way to contact him blasted astral plane she was in between living and dieing, and hearing a voice behind her she turned to see the gate opener. "Cordelia what are you doing out here again you know where your place is here your a higher being now you practically are a PTB, and it seems your friend doesn't want to give up on you"
Cordy glared at him some hearing everything he was saying maybe it was true but Cordy belonged with the gang not here in some limbo holding onto whatever life she had to keep herself from dieing. "I want to go home I served my time up here let me go back to who really means something to me" The god watched her and snapped his fingers as Cordy's wings came off her back and her brown hair fell down pass her mid shoulders. Her body was radiating a glow knowing he was going to send her home, but when she felt the glowing stop. Cordy looked at him. "What did you do?" He grinned. "You won't have no brain dead, but you will haft to get help walking just a bit if you want to go home okay. You served enough with us"
Leaping into the gates Cordy felt herself dropping from the heavens so much pain as a energy coursed through her veins slowly she went back into her body. Angel could even see a little mist go into her, but then you never know what it is , as she felt his hand in her own, but still not moving. Cordy was in her body, but trying to find her soul to latch onto. She knew her champ needed her. Suddenly there was a squeeze to his hand.

Angel's eyes lit up as he felt the slighest ammount of pressure from her hand squeezing his. His hands grabbed her shoulders, gently, and he leaned over so that he would be looking into her eyes when she opened them. Angel felt confused, happy, worried, a range of emotions. He just wanted her to open her eyes now.
"Cordy, is that you. Come on, open 'em. Come on Cordy"
The vampire didn't know what else to say. It was like he was at a pep rally or something. He just wanted his friend to be awake again. He missed her, she was his eyes, without her he was blind. He wondered what he would say to her when she did wake up, would it be weird? he hoped it wouldn't be weird he couldn't bare the thought of awkwardness

Cordelia had squeezed Angel's hand firmly as she slowly stirred and her eyes opened those brown eyes taking in everything around her gasping a bit sitting up in bed a little, but felt firm hands on her shoulders. Smiling a bit she seen Angel before slowly laying back. "Hey Champ looks like I do have a visitor got to say mystical comas quite something. Least I got some shut eye once in a wile" Cordelia was not to fond of the hospital really wanting to leave the place, but knew she would have a few issues as far as the walking was known. She remembered the past two years after she came back to help get Angel on his right path, but it worried her a bit. Did her Champ stay on his path be the man she knew who he was.
Hugging Angel to her she was so happy to get to see his face no one could take Cordy out of this world, but the ride was not exactly nice trip as her hand rubbed her head some. Now she had a headache, but then again with the visions it was normal. "So good to be home again where am I?" She thought by now she be in the ground dead, but maybe there was another gift for her. Only one way to see, "How.. long have I been asleep I remember last year has anything changed Angel?"
Cordy was a bit worried she could not feel her feet let alone move her toes it was like all her muscle tensed up maybe angel could get her out of this hell hole, but she haft to wait and see for herself. He still looked good even after a year or so, but she little bit remembers last year just a lot of things to soak in. Angel owned Wolfram & Hart which was a mistake and then gave up his son so she could live Cordy got him on his way once, and this time she would do it again permanently.

Angel blinked before furrowing his brow in confusion. How the hell had this happened? how was she back here, she was Cordy. His Cordelia, it wasn't some cruel hoax or his mind playing tricks on him because he was pretty sure he was awake. The brooding vampire pinched his cheek just to make sure he really was awake, then he beamed and wrapped his arms around the brunette making sure he wasn't crushing her as he did so. Angel had no idea how to answer her questions she was asking too many questions at once and there was so much to say.
"I'll uh, catch you up later"
There was too much he had to say to her and there was probably a lot that she wanted, needed to talk to him about as well. He was just grateful, and beyond happy to have his loyal, beautiful and champion of a friend back in his arms. His thoughts touched on hoping that the powers that be were responsible for bringing Cordelia out of her comatised state. He gave her another sqeeze before pulling back so he could look at her.

"I missed you to" Cordy hugs Angel again holding him close to her as the doctor came in checking on her with a smile leaving the room, but then slowly she pushed the covers from her bed pulling herself up by the bars. "I want to go home Angel" The doctor came back in shaking his head. "No..Miss Chase you need to be careful we are surprised your not brain dead, but your not it will take a few bit for you to walk on your two feet again." He hands some papers to Angel. "Fill this out and we will release her, but she has to take it slow" As he left Cordy scrunched her nose that doctor had no idea what he was talking about. "Oh please my legss work that doctor does not know what he is talking about." Pushing her tray to the side of her bed watching Angel Cordy knew this be risk trying to walk, but Cordy was strong.
"You can fill me in later right now I could give a crap what that quack said I am going home one way or another, and what does he know I am perfectly able to walk on my own" Slowly she planted both her feet onto the ground as her hands held onto the bars pulling herself up. Cordy was a bit shaky, but at least she could stand even if it was little bit. Slowly she tried to walk only getting a few feet before falling onto her butt on the cold floor with a bam. "This is not happening I am not going to be a cripple" Angel knew Cordy was strong, but sometimes she could push pass her limits.
Pulling herself up once again Cordy kept hold of anything slowly moving her feet some before grasping Angel hand as her knees got weak. This time she had Angel's weight to keep her from falling down. "What is wrong with me" She said looking to Angel.

"Your limbs need to be trained again, we'll sort it out don't worry"
Angel's brow furrowed. He couldn'tr imagine how she was feeling. Cordelia had always been a very active person so not using her legs must have been a bit of a shock. He put an arm through the bend in her knees and one on her back then picked her up. Angel was strong so he quickly managed to fill in the paperwork as best he could before carrying Cordelia out of the hospital and into his convertible car. He strapped the seatbelt over her then walked around to his side, stepped into the car and drove off.

Wrapping her arms around his neck as they were seated in his car there was a lot to take in mostly learning to walk again. "Angel I can't be like this I want to walk and I know we will handle it" She said some resting her hand on his she got to feel his touch again, but knew he always help her through anything. She wanted them to go to her home signaling Angel where she needed to be, and she held her bag of pills the doctor gave her sighing a little bit. "Wiill you stay with me a little bit we can talk.. catch up on what I missed, and maybe I will see the gang right now I',m not ready" It terrified Cordy as her hands ran down her legs not really feeling anything but no Cordy was not going to get upset she was strong, and nothing not even this will bring her down.
As they pulled up to her home Cordy gave Angel no time to help her she would get up on her own as slowly she guided her legs letting them plant on the floor. Slowly standing up she held onto the car for support alright so she did need help. Slowly taking baby steps her legs started to give out, and she fell on the grass but pulling herself back up using a huge strong stick for support. "Can you open the door for me." She said it was bad for Cordy to really be putting to much pressure on her legs. Letting the night take over Cordy still was a bit doped from the drugs, but she gave Angel that smile he loved. "We're together again" -d-
