It had been getting late and both Connor and Angel were down at the docks doing some late night slayage. It wasn't every that father and son had a chance to bond, it was a bonding activity nonetheless but in a weird sorta way. Making their way into the Hyperion Hotel, Angel and Connor had been talking, distinct at first but as they got further into the lobby it grew. Connor had a smile on his face and looked over at Angel. Still holding the axe that he had killed the vampires with in hand, Connor sat it down on the lounge seat and sat down beside it. He looked up at Angel who was standing over him. [/color][/b][/ul] Connor didn't want to start a fight between his dad. The two had just bonded and were on good terms, for the moment at least but he did want to know why Angel always crept on him like some stalker. Always waiting in the shadows, not saying a word until the job was done. On the other hand, Connor did know that he snuck out of the house with his father's battle axe and nearly got himself killed, taking on seven vampires. Whatever the deal was, Connor was safe, that's all that matter, right?

"I don't creep. I skulk" he protested. Besides he wouldn't have to always be lurking in the shadows, watching intently, in case his son got into any trouble. The vampire had faith that Connor could look after himself, he knew this, but he knew that sometimes Connor liked to take stupid chances, were the odds were he wouldn't be coming out alive. And Angel didn't want his son to be taken from him ever again.
"Because, you're my kid. And I want to look out for you. Besides I was looking for you, to see if you wanted to acompany Faith on patrol. But as you and I both know, you took off alone"
Angel prefered Connor to be around someone who was going to be firm with him. Illyria wasn't exactly the best option, Faith could keep his boy in toe, so he liked to encourage their friendship. Gunn was another good option, sure sometimes the hunter let Connor a bit loose but what Angel didn't know couldn't hurt him.
Although, it was pretty cool how he had slain all seven vampires. There was a close call towards the end and Angel was ready to spring into action, grappling with the vampire 'till he found a piece of wood to dust it. But Connor had taken care of the situation.
